FAQ

Can the Bubba Blue Sleep Pouch® be used for a newborn?
Yes, it can be. We have Sleep Pouch sizes that suit a newborn. Always ensure baby’s feet are at the bottom of the bedside sleeper and the mesh panel covers only up to the baby’s chest. The age tabs are a guide only. Adjust the length required to suit baby, as every baby’s age / height is different.
 
Can the Bubba Blue Sleep Pouch® be used for a swaddled newborn?
Yes, it can be. Depending on the warmth required, use a lightweight or medium weight swaddle wrap or swaddle sleepbag with the Sleep Pouch.  Do not use swaddle sleepbags that enclose baby’s arms in with the Sleep Pouch. Each baby regulates their temperature differently. Regularly check on baby to ensure their body temperature is comfortably warm. Once baby starts to roll, they should not be swaddled.   
 
Can the Bubba Blue Sleep Pouch® be used with a sleeping bag?
Yes, it can be. Although the TOG rating of the sleepbag must be considered to avoid baby getting too warm. Each baby regulates their body temperature differently. Regularly check on baby to ensure their temperature is comfortably warm. Do not use with swaddle sleepbags (those that enclose baby’s arms in).
 
What does baby wear with the Bubba Blue Sleep Pouch®?
A useful guide is to dress baby as you would dress yourself: to be comfortable, neither too hot nor too cold. If wearing a sleepbag, dress with lighter layers underneath. The number of layers varies as each child’s body temperature & environment is different. Carers should use their discretion to determine what is most suitable for the child.
